Every child deserves an opportunity to reach their unique, full potential – a Brighter & Healthier Tomorrow!
Founded in 2006, The Kusasa Project helps at-risk children by providing an outstanding ‘Whole Child Education’ in our accredited independent primary school in Franschhoek. We seek to stimulate children’s minds & aspirations to a future beyond the shacks & poverty in which they now live.
Thanks to our supporters, donors and friends, we not only provide education to around 150 children, but too for example health checks, social intervention and two meals a day. We know that family is key. To help these children thrive and blossom, we collaborate and commit to each family, providing support where it’s needed.
From our mission statement:
“We look to raise the quality of education in the community in order to develop literate, compassionate, respectful, communicative, imaginative, multilingual students who are well-prepared to make a positive impact… treating the present as a unique and precious opportunity to build a better future.”
We are best helped with a monetary donation towards our teachers’ salaries. Without this professional, highly dedicated and enthusiastic team of teachers, with so much love for the children, our school would not have been where it is today. But, if you would like to pack something, stationery is very welcome too! Please visit thekusasaproject.org/stationery for our updated stationery wish-list.
Friday mornings (during school terms) we do welcome interested visitors. Please send a mail to donate@thekusasaproject.org to arrange.
